Next presentations and public appearances: RAC and HA SIG 10.06.2010 A superb agenda and finally outside the Oracle office. Julian Dyke, Harald Van Breederode and Joel Goodman are going to present. I will be part of the expert panel on high availability. Hope to see you there!
Real Application Cluster & High Availability SIG Reading TVP I presented about my experience with server consolidation and a 3 node RAC UNIX SIG Slough 09/2009 This is a novelty to me - going to present twice! The first presentation will deal with Linux Kernel settings and how to tune them, the second one deals with OpenFiler 2.3 and iSCSI on Linux. RAC & HA SIG 09/2009 And if that wasn't enough I am also going to present at the Midlands RAC SIG. The subject is the Oracle Linux Test Suite. Oracle BI Symposium This latest presentation to be held at the Oracle BI Symposium on March 11th features a talk about approaching Data Warehousing from a database perspective. This is quite a different thing to me as I always presented to a very techical audience, but a nice change. RAC and HA meeting 02/2009 I'm a bit late announcing my presentation at the meeting as it's actually over. I presented about Streams replication, but this time without the platform migration specific background. It allowed me to put in some war stories which I thought will always go down well. UNIX Special Interest group meeting 01/2009 Platform migrations are some of the more exciting DBA projects. Today’s users demand continuous uptime, and real-time data migration from one platform to another. The Oracle Streams technology enables DBAs to perform database maintenance operations across platforms – the presentation looks and explorers different approaches on how to use streams for a platform migration. UNIX Special Interest group meeting 09/2008 The UNIX SIG meeting in September has seen my last presentation for this year where I presented about Xen-based virtualisation. Real Application Special Interest group meeting 05/2008 I have also presented at this event in One Great George Street in London. The subject was the use of Oracle VM as a runtime environment for RAC 11g Real Application Special Interest group meeting 02/2008 I have presented at the February RAC SIG meeting in Slough. Have a look at the library section on the ukoug website for a transcript of the presentation dealing with a 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.3 migration. |
